which is why i created 50 prompts that help people start writing their life stories
it’s easy to romanticize writing a book. you know, sitting at the perfect wooden desk in the quaintest cabin, in the most scenic woodland forest, with a rambling river and hooting owls landing on trees right outside the window. it’s easy to hear the kettle steaming as you pour yourself the loveliest cup of tea and put pen to paper, and the words flow as easily as spreading room temperature butter on crispy hot toast.
i’ve actually HAD all of this, and i can promise you it’s not the secret key to writing a book.
it’s easy to imagine the process of writing your book like you imagine flipping through an already written book. you can see it. how you’ll fit the pages. how romantic the days will be as words flood the once blank spaces, where the curser used to blink, it’s easy to see the words.
but it’s not always easy to write them. but it CAN BE really fun (and massively healing).
it can flow seamlessly, when we take the path that works for our unique selves, that help us become a part of the process, rather than the controller of all that needs to be done to get from book idea to completed story.
sometimes the memoir begins with a broad format, what i like to call the bones.
and sometimes the memoir begins by “simply” beginning to remember who you are.
where you began. came from. started.
i created 50 journal prompts for the person who is ready to write their memoir but isn’t quite sure where to start. maybe you’ve tried to outline the book, but you find yourself missing parts of the journey but you aren’t exactly sure WHAT they are, WHAT is missing.
these prompts will guide you to a space where you’ll begin to remember. that is my goal, my hope and prayer.
these prompts were designed and channeled for you to remember parts of your story you may have locked away and forgotten.
if you have a story you feel strongly called to write and share, these prompts will help you get there.
it IS a messy process! it’s meant to be!
if you’ve been craving some guidance, these journal prompts can be the hand holding that tethers your heart and pen and allows those blank pages to feel less threatening and more inviting.
i’ve got you. i’ve been here. and those blank pages can actually become a sanctuary, a sacred holding space.
AND, if you need extra support i am here for you. please do not hesitate to reach out to me as a guide and support during your gorgeously unique book writing journey and experience.
my soul is here to help people write and heal through sharing their stories.
i love that you are beginning here, today!
