Thank you to the ones who hurt me, emotionally and physically.

Thank you for telling me to change.

Thank you for calling me selfish.

Thank you for falling out of love with me.

Thank you for coming in and coming out.

Thank you for no explanation.

Thank you for running away.

Thank you to the ones who just didn’t like me.

Thank you for not giving me time and space to be SEEN or HEARD.

Thank you for deceiving me, for saying you’d be there and not showing up.

Thank you for the manipulation and lies.

Thank you for not seeing me as enough.

Thank you for not believing in my dreams.

Thank you for not choosing to be a part of them with me.

It is because of you that I am FREE.

It is because of you that I can finally see that who I am was never meant to be with you for longer than I was.

It is because of what we went through together that I get to be the version of myself I so wholly am today.

It is because of the broken hearts, the floods of tears and suffocating cries into my steering wheel that I get to feel what it’s like to really and truly be me.

This raw, heart-opened, confident and intentional version of me that has always meant to be wild and free.

It is because of every single catch and release that I get to swim the open waters unattached to what was never meant to keep me down, hold me back or blind me from my very wholesome and soulful entity; me.

Thank you for coming into my life when you did, for teaching me the lessons of gold I needed at each very moment in time.

Thank you, always and forever, for being a part of the story that led me to being right here in this very moment, unattached to anyone but me, but the breath I breathe, in and out, my hands held by my very own fingers.

My heart beating to the rhythm of the sea, as I look out across the wide and vast ocean of endless possibilities.

It is here that I let go. It is here that I release, with major gratitude, and an eager and open heart, ready to feel, to see, to learn and breathe what is meant to come next.
